I chose article 16 in the Declaration for its tricky subject of family. If the design isn’t carefully considered, it becomes cheesy. The goal was to create an unorthodox visual language.
Legos blocks were used to print the primary type and seal to support the idea of the family "unit" visually. In addition, the seal reinforces that the words of the article are an official statement.
Other typefaces include Grotesque No. 9 and Lightline Gothic, chosen for their quiet compatibility with the Lego type.
Hot pink and gold were used to add to the unconventional look.
