Have yourself a merry little Christmas. Let your heart be light. From now on your troubles will be out of sight.
Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I love it because the season feels so magical. However I feel as though I haven’t experienced a real Christmas in the last three years living in California, mostly due to the lack of change in seasons.
This simple 3D motion animation reflects my desire to experience the full package of my favorite parts of Christmas.

This animation shows how diverse events and objects are needed to fully experience a holiday. It’s not enough for me to just see a single aspect of Christmas to feel like I’m experiencing Christmas as a whole.
The first part, the snow, tells me that the seasons have changed and lets me experience Christmas in a physical way through the cold.
The second part, the lights, twinkles and makes me feel as though something wonderful is happening.
The third part, the trees, presents, and music, visually and sensually lets me experience the festive, happy mood of Christmas.
Only when the diverse parts are all brought together they are able to show the full emotional strength of Christmas.
